EMI Common-Mode Noise Suppression and Magnetic Elements Winding Loss Optimization Design Based on GaN Cascaded Power Module

In this paper, CM noise suppresion and magnetic elements winding loss optimization design of a cascade power module based on GaN are carried out (the front stage is buck converter, the second LLC resonant converter). To suppress noise, converter adopts planar stagger reverse coupling inductance, by establishing model conduction path model, equivalent capacitance can effectively reduced, thus further reducing current. A staggered structure proposed for compared calculated transformer electromagnetic field characteristics with different structure. novel shielding cancellation technique order to improve efficiency, copper foil optimal thickness proposed. Experimental results show that technology reduced 12-20dB, peak efficiency improved about 1% after optimized.
